Changes for the New Year!
28/10/2021 -Carrying on from our previous update, we will be implementing some new features across the website.
The first of these is “eco-points” every Ā£ you spend with us gives you points. These points cannot be used against stock but can be used to support eco friendly charities with our first goal to plant trees. We haven’t quite finished working it all out just yet but we are open to suggestions and thoughts on this.
WE ARE BRINGING BACK FREE SHIPPING!
Many of you were pretty disappointed when we had to remove free shipping, this was due to massive increases to our courier costs. For example, a box to Ireland was Ā£6 before, now they are Ā£23 per box.
the UK saw all fuel surcharges and prices go up due to increased demand on logistics network during COVID & Brexit. Our courier prices are still high and are expected to go up again at our renewal period.
Not all news is good news, across some of our lines there will be a small price increase due to these increased costs to ship products to us. we’ve seen pallet deliveries double in price recently and this has hit us the hardest.

Going forward in 2022
25/10/2021 – We have recently moved into a bigger office to help streamline our processes. But in reality what happened was it caused issues and delays with communications breaking down between new staff and older staff.
I would like to apologise for the terrible service all customers have received recently – mainly regarding communication and customer service.
The ongoing logistic nightmare is certainly not helping us, what required 3-4 days to get here is now taking 14+ days. This has led to a massive shortfall in stock rotation. We have increased the capacity and amount of barrels for stock and these are now in distribution.
If all goes well we will start to see almost all stock being in stock as well as new stock to our range.
Changes to fudge packaging
13/10/2021 – We have changed our packaging for the fudge to a bio film, this is not plastic and is made 100% from plants.
Industrial and home composting are the ideal end-of-use scenarios for this bio film. Unfortunately, though it isĀ not suitable for paper recycling. The films are not suitable for mechanical recycling due to the fact that they are not thermoplastic materials.
It is made in the UK from film that has been accredited to āOK biobasedā and DIN EN 13432. It’s also marine biodegradation approved to ASTM D6691-09 and Anaerobic digestion to ISO 15985.
This is because of the ongoing paper shortage (you might of noticed this in any boxes you receive are now made with thinner outer paper making normally sturdy boxes flimsy) it has become a nightmare for us to keep our normal paper wraps in stock to an adequate level.
Delays to most deliveries in the UK
22/09/2021 – Due to the ongoing, well-publicised issues regarding the UK & Worldwide logistics network and the shortage of HGV drivers, we are unfortunately experiencing delays of all deliveries.

21/09/2021 – We have increased our capacity of our barrels and soon we will be able to offer our selection of sweets compeltely seperately, want 5kg of mermaids? we have you covered.
This of course is subject to being able to get our barrels back and forth from our manufacturer in time – Lead times can be much longer on single lines due to this.
This is a feature many customers have asked for but we previously did not have the space for more barrels. With our new warehouse we have been able to hold more products.

Progression of the barrel return system.
21/09/2021 – We are currently progressing well to try get a courier to start delivering our barrels of sweets to wholesalers. These barrels vary in size and can contain any sweets you prefer – pick n mix.
Smallest comes in at 25kg and our biggest (requires pallet shipping) comes in at around 150kg dependant on the product.
The barrels come with their own cost/deposit and can be returned to us for refilling.
At the moment we can offer this within a 20 mile radius of our warehouse.

Removal of free shipping
01/09/2021 – Due to the price increase from our courier we have had to suspend free shipping as an option.
Rather than put the price up and push this onto you as a customer, we have decided to keep the price the same and remove free shipping as an option. We are currently in talks with new couriers to try get the price down to a reasonable price.
We have stopped using DHL completely as their prices went over Ā£10 per parcel and are now with Parcelforce whose prices did increase just not as much as DHL’s
